CEF Quarterly Newsletter: Summer 2025
At times where environmental and humanitarian turbulence is a daily occurrence, we find calm at the wonderful work being done on the ground to help Cyprus’ nature recover.
We are proud to be partnering with one of Cyprus’ brightest bird champions once again to help conserve and boost local populations of griffon vultures. Our effort to reduce plastic waste on the island continues through our ongoing collaboration with the Cyprus Sustainable Tourism Initiative, this time, focusing on creating the first plastic-free school in Limassol. Supporting marine environmental awareness through the creative arts, has been an initiative recognized by local authorities. In this last year though, the project has been attracting global recognition and awards and it’s all thanks to the passionate and dedicated education team of Enalia Physis Environmental Research Center – well done team!
Our TUI Field to Fork Cyprus project has been gaining momentum, with 3 local hotels joining our efforts to support and promote regenerative organic farmers and their products in Cyprus. Read along to find out who these pioneers are and find out about the opportunity of joining our program by claiming one of 7 available scholarships to become an ‘Organic Production Technician’ with a focus on regenerative farming.
Once more, we are honored to be partnering with local businesses who are aiming high for their sustainability performance – thank you Marks & Spenser Cyprus for another successful fundraising campaign. Funds collected through these campaigns help support the vital work supported by CEF of conserving and regenerating Cyprus’ nature.
This past quarter we are also busy presenting our work on regenerative farming to parliamentary officials from all across the Mediterranean while joining forces with friends and supporters to help clean up local beaches.
