Blue Dialogues is an interdisciplinary initiative exploring how the Creative Arts can inspire emotional connection, environmental awareness, and a strong sense of ocean-connected identity. Through music, storytelling, visual arts, movement, and drama techniques, participants engage in immersive experiences that nurture empathy, imagination, and meaningful engagement with the marine world.

The conference is addressed to educators (public and private sector), student-teachers, artists, pedagogues, and professionals working with children, youth, and adults in both formal and non-formal educational settings. Drawing inspiration from the collections of the A. G. Leventis Gallery, participants will explore innovative pedagogical approaches that promote Mediterranean Sea Literacy (MSL) and address contemporary marine environmental challenges.

The conference is part of the project ‘Empowering Marine Environmental Awareness in Cyprus’, funded by MetLife Cyprus under the award-winning initiative ‘Increasing Marine Environmental Awareness Through the Creative Arts’. The project is implemented by the external creative collaborators of the Enalia Physis Environmental Research Centre and is endorsed by the UN Ocean Decade Coordination Team within the framework of the United Nations Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development (UN Ocean Decade). It is also included among the official activities of European Maritime Day (EMD) 2026.

Participants will receive a Certificate of Participation co-signed by Enalia Physis Environmental Research Centre, A.G. Leventis Gallery and the Cyprus Environment Foundation.
